The profits from the sale of these fuck cancer pin badges will go to CoppaFeel.
The fuck cancer pin was born out of a hashtag used by Em of Oh Gosh Silver whist documenting her first round of treatment for breast cancer.
In 2016, aged just 35, Em was diagnosed with breast cancer. In the 18 months that followed she had a lumpectomy, IVF treatment, 6 rounds of chemotherapy and 23 radiotherapy sessions, finally being given the all clear in May of 2017.
Unfortunately in January 2018 Em was told that her cancer had returned, in her bones, as metastatic breast cancer, which means it is now incurable. Treatable, but incurable.
As a big two fingers up to that latest news about her cancer, Emily (of Emily Alice) made Em a necklace to wear to her appointments and chemotherapy sessions and after an overwhelming response of social media, the necklace has was replicated in a pin.
Fast forward to 2023 and Em, (now a seasoned metastatic breast cancer awareness campaigner), has signed up to do a 50km trek around Mont Blanc in France to raise money for CoppaFeel. We’ve made a change in the colour for our second run of these badges, a bright pink to match the branding of the charity that will benefit from the sale of these pin badges. 100% of the profits from the sale of these pins going to CoppaFeel, a charity that teaches people how to check their breasts for signs of cancer campaigns to remind people to check monthly.
If you want to just make a direct donation (without the pin badge) to Em’s fundraising 50km French Alps trek, you can do so here:
